Research Information System

The RIS is targeted for the rice researchers and provides scope for better utilization of research data, results, prioritization of the research and facilitating the interaction among the rice researchers. Unlike other information systems, RIS will have privileged access.

The RIS developed will have two major dimensions: Static and Dynamic. The static dimension will have core rice dataset (database) services, indexed research results across the disciplines, Standard research methodologies of various disciplines and approach papers. Where as the dynamic dimension will have strengthening of AICRIP system using MIS for efficient functioning, online discussion fora for researchers, and research prioritization domain. Apart from this, links will be given to the global rice researchers groups.
